A well organized yet shallow approach at teaching math.        Rating:

PDM is a wonderful addition to the S.F. series. It is well organized and illustrates difficult math in understandable fashion. Although most students will be able to learn from this textbook, teachers may wish to go more into depth about certain concepts.
