First Flight!

OK, strickly speaking, this was not "work"... this was better!

Beyond the thrill of delivering our own children, there has been nothing to get the adrenaline pumping - in a good way - like this!

To build something with your own hands, then have it lift you above the earth is simply indescribable!

And in this case, the first flight was actually that - for aircraft and pilot! Having lifted off and passed the point of no return, sitting at the controls of an unproven flying machine for the first time, with no actual flight experisnce... nothing can prepare you for that! In an instant all your understanding of the theory of flight physics has an urgent new meaning, "How do I land this thing?!".

(The first landing was a success, on the second try...)
